About This Project

Jesse

Jesse is a 7-year-old boy born with a hearing loss. He has not worn hearing aids since infancy after someone told his family they were unnecessary. But Jesse’s hearing challenge has begun to take a toll on his learning. Recently, his teachers recommended that Jesse wears hearing aids since the subject matter will be getting more and more difficult.

Jesse does very well in school and is an absolute delight! He has a twin brother with normal hearing who is very excited for Jesse to get his new hearing aids. Throughout the fitting, Jesse couldn’t keep his hands still and continuously clapped or hummed because he was curious about all the new sounds. His parents called his new hearing aids a “super power” for him and he seems very excited!
