Frequently asked questions

Do you have a set income level for those who can receive care?

No, we do not have a set income level limit for our recipients. We understand that individuals and families have different needs and financial strains. We evaluate each applicant’s income level on a case-by-case basis, while keeping in mind the poverty level average for their specific bracket.

How long is your evaluation process?

One thing we value is your time. Since we are a non-government agency, we can set up your evaluation and hearing aid fitting typically between two weeks to a month from when we approve your application. This timeline will depend on several factors, such as location and service provider availability.

Do you help people outside of California?

Yes! In fact, we have a satellite office in Seattle and have helped many people across Washington State. We are happy to help people in other states if we are able to find a service provider who is willing to work with us.

Can you pay for a portion of our hearing aids?

No, we are unable to subsidize hearing aids that you have already purchased or are planning to purchase. This is because we order hearing aids directly through our nonprofit partners. Luckily, we are happy to fully pay for hearing aids we order!

Can we order hearing aids through our service provider?

No, for the same reason as above. But we are happy to partner with your service provider on hearing aid fittings and related appointments.
